Flicker remained hidden in the top branches of the tree behind the odd cat with the green cloth. She studied the cat curiously, her blue eyes wide. She generally avoided other cats, simply watching from a distance.
(I just joined, am I doing this right?? xD)
-
The spirit smirked, her ebony form shimmering in the sunlight. She rose and stalking over to the small russet form crumpled up in the grass, tail twitching. She grinned, leaning over the slender feline, and murmured, "You have no power over me, got it?" She threw her head back once more, cackling.
She enjoyed the fact that she, the runt of the litter, was finally strong enough to push someone else around.
-
Flicker watched the scene, her eyebrows furrowing in confusion. Why was that weird cat making so much fuss over some dumb cloth? And what was that weird dragon thing?
-
I figured it out, but thanks! ^.^
-
Flicker crept along the barren rock, shivering. The cold wind seemed to blow right through her tortoiseshell tabby coat. She looked up at the gray skies, wondering when the downpour would start.
-
Flicker padded through the trees. The forest was dark at night, and she felt as though the shadows were jumping out at her. Her tortoiseshell tabby coat was barely visible in the low light, and her bright blue eyes seemed oddly dimmed.
This was her life now. Friendless, Clanless. Nameless, even. She had been stripped of her name (Flickeringbreeze) and left with only Flicker. Even her name sounded empty.
-
Silver stumbled through the trees. His pale blue eyes searched for the wolves that his nose told him were near. His gray coat shimmered in the broken sunlight, and he cautiously crept forward. He hoped that the wolves were friendly. After all, he was already shy enough.
-
Now a lion? What next, one of the two legs themselves?! Flicker decided that this gathering was a bit much. She hopped out of the tree, hoping to disappear unnoticed, but froze when somebody called out to her.
-
He knew he was getting close now. He could smell them, almost right in front of him...
Suddenly, a tree root appeared in front of his paw, and before he could register what had happened, he tripped, literally rolling into another wolf.
-
When the world stopped spinning, Silver opened his eyes. To his surprise, he was literally on top of one of the wolves he'd been searching for earlier. He stumbled off of her, his face growing hot.
"Sorry!! I didn't see you there..." He smiled softly.
-
Flicker continued to stumble through the rocks. She thought she could smell warmth ahead...
-
He couldn't quite believe his ears. Here, the pretty wolf that he had just fallen on top of, was offering him a place in her pack?
"Sure!!"
-
He eagerly trotted after his new pack mate.
"Wait, what's your name?"
-
Flickers ears perked at the meows. She could see the two figures, but she hesitated, scared that they would cast her out just like the last clan did.
Nothings gonna get solved with fear, she told herself. If things are gonna get better, I have to work for it.
She tentatively padded up to the two cats. "Hey, who are you guys?" She quietly meowed.
-
Flicker yelped as something suddenly grabbed her. She couldn't see what it was, but she was too weak to fight it.
I'm pretty pathetic, she thought to herself. Then again, it's pretty hard to be strong when you're trembling uncontrollably from the cold.
All she could do was hope that the creature meant well.
-
"I'm Silver," he responded, grinning. Suddenly, the bushes behind them trembled. He turned to see another wolf bounding up to them, calling out a greeting. He stopped, ready to meet this new wolf.
-
She heard the dragon's confusion and muttered, "aren't we all..."
-
(OOC: sorry can you clarify what animal Kestrelsong is xD)
-
"I'm Flicker," she responded to the lion, her usual shyness disappearing at the oddity of the situation. What was that weird hot-wind-maker-thingy, and how was the cat using it without opposable thumbs?
